Yokohama (Japan), Dec 19 (ANI): The coastal Japanese city of Yokohama comes alive with lights and scenic decorations. The tourists and the local residents enjoyed the colourful evenings from November till end of December. Special performances consisting of illumination and searchlight around Shinko Chuo Hiroba (Shinko Central Square) and on the wall of surrounding building are held four times daily at 6, 7, 8 and 9 PM. The event offers special performance using technology called "WebAR" which overlaps digital image on a real-life background shown in a Smartphone camera to expand the world before the eyes of visitors. Yokohama is first harbour city in Japan. The city has been vigorously acquiring new culture and information from foreign country and introducing to Japan first-time, everything from food to wide range of culture, which entitles Yokohama as the birthplace of Japan’s modern culture. Yokohama has been very cheerful which is willing to adopt whatever is good. Such a tradition has been incorporated into the present fashionable and sophisticated streetscape. Various visual contents using projection and sensing technology are being played on the Shinko Chuo Hiroba main stage.
