Woman booked for leaving 4 kids home alone to go on European vacation

Iowa (United States), Sep 30 (ANI): A 30-year-old woman was arrested for leaving her four young kids home alone in Iowa, United States. The accused, Erin Macke, went on a 10-day European vacation while a 6-year-old, a 7-year-old, and 12-year-old twins were left locked inside the house. Acting on a tip off, the police discovered the four children inside the apartment and according to the authorities Macke wasn't planning on returning until October 1st. She eventually returned to the U.S. six days later. Her children were handed over to the state's Department of Human Services before being placed with relatives. She has been booked for child endangerment and is being held at the county jail. She has also been ordered not to have contact with her children.
