Stavropol Territory (Russia), June 17 (ANI/ TV BRICS): Instead of investing in wind energy, consider green energy. A brand-new wind power facility has begun operations in the Stavropol region of southern Russia. A high-altitude area is Stavropol. This entire land was previously reserved for meadows and crops. The scale of the station is impressive. There are over 60 wind turbines, each one has a tower as tall as a 33-story house, with a generator on top. It weighs as much as a passenger train car - about 50 tonnes. You can also stop the equipment manually. At the press of a button. The blades stop almost instantly. And just as easily, they restart. Checking the machinery in person is just as easy. Specialists are brought to the top of the tower by this hoist. Inside the tower, there are cables, control electronics, and other equipment. Even in the winter, it's much warmer in here than outside. The Kuzminskaya plant is next door to the operator's other wind farm, Kochubeyevskaya. The region is a priority for investment by rosatom's wind energy division. Another wind farm, in the Trunovsky district, is in the implementation stage. Workers have begun assembling the towers for the generators. They are assembled in stages, section by section. For example, according to expert estimates, two-thirds of the equipment in the new wind farm is domestic. The company is ready to develop the international market as well. Priority areas: south-east Asia - Vietnam, Myanmar, and other countries.
