Onboard, May 10 (ANI): In a self made video, a pregnant woman onboard INS Jalashwa thanked Indian Navy for evacuating her from Male, Maldives. INS Jalashwa arrived at Kochi Harbour on May 10 bringing back 698 Indian nationals. According to the Indian Navy, there were 19 pregnant women among the 698 Indian nationals. The evacuation is a part of Indian government’s program to evacuate Indians stranded abroad. The programme named ‘Samudra Setu’ by Indian Navy entails to bring back around two thousand Indians in ships from Maldives.
