New York (United States), Nov 24 (ANI): New York held its 91st annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday with marching bands, floats and giant balloons. Outside Macy's flagship store on 34th street, spectators applauded the procession of marching bands and musical acts from around the country and the helium balloons with cartoon characters that hovered over the parade route. About 50 million people worldwide were expected to watch the televised parade that snakes through 2.5 miles (4 km) of Manhattan. The show ushers in both the U.S. holiday season and the busiest time of year to travel.
