Watch: Indian High Commissioner remembers Mahatma Gandhi at Tavistock Square on his death anniversary

London (UK), Jan 30 (ANI): The Indian High Commission held an event at Tavistock Square in London to remember Mahatama Gandhi on his 70th death anniversary. Indian High Commissioner to the UK YK Sinha addressed the gathering at the event. Remembering Mahatma Gandhi, YK Sinha said that not only Indian community but the whole world remembers ‘Bapu’ for his remarkable work. “His display of work served as a beacon of hope to the world,” Sinha added. Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse on January 30, 1948 in New Delhi. He went on saying that Mahatma Gandhi, who was described as’ Half Naked Fakir’ by Winston Churchill, achieved so much that he is remembered as one of the most remembered man in the world history.
