Cannes (France), May 6 (ANI): Massive poster for the Cannes Film Festival was rolled out on the walls of the festival venue on Sunday as the resort gets ready to welcome stars and film fans for the 71st gathering on the French Riviera.The poster features a sunlit kiss between a man and a woman sitting in adjacent cars. According to festival director Thierry Fremaux organisers wanted to put love centre stage. The shot is taken from the 1965 film "Pierrot le Fou" (Pierrot the Madman) by French director and new wave icon Jean-Luc Godard. Godard will make his return to Cannes this year at the age of 87 with his film "The Image Book" The festival opens on May 8 with 21 films competing for the top prize, the Palme d'Or, to be announced on May 19.
