California (U.S.), Nov 07 (ANI): Raging wildfires in California have jumped highways and even made it to the Pacific Ocean and are now threatening upscale Los Angeles neighbourhoods. Thousands of Californians residing in north and west of Los Angeles fled their homes as two out-of-control wildfires spread rapidly overnight, fuelled by strong desert winds that hampered firefighters. Mandatory evacuations have been issued in some areas and the Getty museum said it shut down for the day to protect its art collection from smoke damage.
