Washoku World Challenge competition held virtually in Japan

Tokyo (Japan), Mar 05 (ANI): Washoku is traditional Japanese cooking competition, which has been attracting chefs from all over the world for the different delicacies, cooking method, ingredients and beautiful presentation. An international cooking competition - `Washoku World Challenge’ was recently organised via an online platform. Six finalists from countries like USA, United Kingdom, Brazil were nominated for cooking creative Washoku dishes. They got the opportunity to learn authentic Washoku cooking from Japanese chefs. This lecture was delivered via YouTube. At first, Mr. Nonaga reviews her cooking work. Lee's finalist dish is fish soup. She used ingredients that were difficult to get in Korea. Japanese cuisine is conscious of the spirit of hospitality. In this lesson, Mr. Nonaga teaches how to handle ingredients, how to use Japanese knife, and how to arrange dishes considering with its colour. The continuous effort of Japanese authorities to popularize Washoku contributes in expanding Japanese cuisine all around the world.
