Washington DC (US), June 24 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Indian diaspora at the Ronald Reagan Center in Washington DC on June 23, asserted that the American government will return more than 100 antiquities of India that were earlier stolen from the country. Claiming that a new and proud journey of India-US ties has begun and the world is watching the two great democracies strengthening their bond, he expressed his gratitude to the Biden administration for returning the pride of India. “I am happy that the American government has decided to return more than 100 antiquities of India that were stolen from us. These antiquities had reached the international markets. I express my gratitude to the American government for this,” said PM Modi in his concluding speech. “When I last came to America, a lot of old antiquities were returned to India. Wherever I travel in the world, the government of that country returns what belongs to India. They see me as the right person, that he can be trusted. They return Indian antiquities, thinking that he will put them back in the right place,” PM further said.
