Washington DC (USA), July 31, 2025 (ANI): On US President Donald Trump announcing 25% tariff, plus a penalty on India, fellow for the Chair on India and Emerging Asia Economics at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Gaurav Sansanwal said, “...The negotiations are still ongoing. The US side is expected to still go out to India in mid of next month. This is a leverage being used in the negotiation process, and India is going to feel the heat, but we should remember that the costs will be passed on to the consumers. So both countries are actually feeling the cost, so this will, hopefully, set the stage for the trade deal to be fully negotiated in the coming weeks, which will negate the impact of the tariffs…”
