UNSC led by India adopts resolution on Afghanistan

New York, Aug 31 (ANI): The United Nations Security Council, under the current Presidency of India, adopted a resolution on the situation in Afghanistan on August 30. Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla was chairing the UNSC meet under the Indian Presidency in which the resolution was adopted. He said, “Today's resolution on Afghanistan underlines terrorist individuals and entities, designated by UNSC 1267, this is of direct importance to India. UNSC resolution underlines that Afghan territory should not be used to threaten, attack any country or to shelter, finance or train terrorists.”
