United States to impose sanctions on Russian President Putin, top aide: White House

Washington DC (USA), Feb 26 (ANI): Amid ongoing military operations by Russia on Ukraine, the White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on February 25 (IST) informed that the United States will join the European Union in sanctioning Russian President Vladimir Putin. “US will join EU in sanctioning Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov,” said Psaki. Notably, imposing sanctions on an individual means preventing him from traveling and from certain jurisdictions.
