UN designates JeM chief Masood Azhar as global terrorist

New Delhi, May 01 (ANI) : In a significant development, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar has been designated as a global terrorist under the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution 1267. Masood Azhar was put under house arrest at Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur post Balakot Attack and has been recently shifted to a safe house in Islamabad. Azhar was blacklisted by UNSC sanctions committee after China dropped their objections to the latest proposal put forward by the US, UK and France to designate Masood as terrorist.
