New York (USA), Apr 05 (ANI): Speaking about various sanctions levied on Russian imports and exports, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on April 05 (IST) urged all the countries to keep their markets open for the countries who are at risk of famine and hunger. Speaking on the energy crisis amid the Russian oil ban, he said that the use of strategic stockpiles and additional reserves could help ease this crisis in the short term. “We are urging all countries to keep markets open, resist unjustified and unnecessary export restrictions, and make reserves available to countries at risk of hunger and famine. The use of strategic stockpiles and additional reserves could help ease this crisis in the short term,” he said at UNSC.
