Turkey earthquake: NDRF’s Romeo-Julie save 6-year-old Beren alive from rubble in Nurdagi town

Nurdagi (Turkey) Feb 13 (ANI): Meet Julie and Romeo, NDRF’s four-legged warriors. They are working tirelessly as saviours in quake-hit Türkiye. Under ‘Operation Dost’, India has sent NDRF teams to quake-hit Türkiye, Syria. In rescue operations, Julie-Romeo have been a strong helping hand. Both of them succeeded at times when the machines failed to rescue victims. The two Labradors saved 6-year-old Beren alive from rubble in Nurdagi town. Julie went inside the rubble and gave signals that someone was inside it. Later, Romeo gave the confirmation, after which the child was rescued. Home Minister Amit Shah also hailed the NDRF teams for their efforts in quake-hit Türkiye. He shared the video of the girl’s rescue on Twitter with the caption, “Proud of our NDRF”. India announced 'Operation Dost' after the magnitude 7.8 quake ravaged Türkiye. Over 34,000 people have lost their lives, so far in the incident.
