Washington D.C. (United States), Oct 27 (ANI): Calling it a "national shame" and "human tragedy", United States President Donald Trump announced steps to fight the opioid crisis in the United States by declaring it a national public health emergency and cracking down on the flow of the drug fentanyl. Trump said they are going to overcome addiction in America. The federal government would work to develop non-addictive painkillers and pledged to consider bringing lawsuits against "bad actors" in the opioid epidemic.
