Tillerson to step down on March 31, Pompeo to be new US Secretary of State

Washington, DC (US), Mar 14 (ANI): United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson confirmed his departure from the office on March end. Tillerson said he was delegating all of his responsibilities to the State Department's No. two official and he would leave office at the end of this month. He was fired by President Donald Trump after a series of public rifts over policies related to North Korea, Russia and Iran. President Trump has chosen CIA Director Mike Pompeo as his next chief diplomat.
