Terror incidents in the West have roots in Pakistan, say scholars at UN

Geneva, Sep 20 (ANI): Accusing Pakistan for harbouring and funding terror outfits responsible for incidents in the West and South Asia, the scholars have demanded Islamabad to act. The European Foundation for South Asian Studies (EFSAS), a policy research organization based in Amsterdam held a side-event on Terrorism in South Asia during the 36th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. The scholars at the event accused Pakistan for harbouring and funding terror outfits responsible for incidents in the West and South Asia and demanded Islamabad to act. Dr. Paul Stott of the University of Leicester said many terror incidents have taken place in the UK which has its roots in Pakistan. He said, We cant keep our eye out of the ball, we cant take our eyes off Pakistan, we cant take our eye off the areas where some of the terrorist organizations from Pakistan have influence and able to recruit young people. Professor Rob McCusker, a former FBI officer now teaching at De Montfort University in Leicester said, Pakistan need to find way to deal with terrorism and give emphasis to find the source of funding to these outfits.
