London, Apr 17 (ANI): Britain's decision to conduct air strikes against Syria was in the country's national interest, and not the result of pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Theresa May told parliament on Monday. May, who has regained confidence after winning support for her tough stance on Syria and Russia, was making a statement to parliament on her decision to join the United States and France in Saturday's strikes in retaliation for a suspected gas attack.
