New York (USA), Sep 28 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has underscored that dismantling terrorist organisation support infrastructure would be the first step in counter-terrorism strategy while calling for a joint effort to make United Nations’ counter-terrorism mechanism efficient in listing and their outfits. Swaraj’s statement came at the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Foreign Ministerial meeting held in New York on Thursday. "Terrorism, non-state actors, and illicit financial flows undermine the very cause of development and prosperity. Terrorist organizations use sophisticated equipment, weapons, and ammunitions that are financed through illicit and illegitimate sources," said Swaraj.
