Sunil Thapa passes away at 68: Nepal bids final farewell to its iconic villain

Kathmandu (Nepal), Feb 09 (ANI): Nepal mourns the loss of legendary actor Sunil Thapa, who passed away at 68 in Kathmandu. Widely regarded as the most iconic villain in Nepali cinema, Thapa reshaped on-screen antagonism with powerful performances across decades. Beginning his career in Bollywood before becoming a pillar of Nepali films, he earned immense respect within the industry. Hundreds gathered at the Film Development Board and Pashupatinath Crematorium to pay their final respects, with state honours marking his farewell. His legacy lives on through unforgettable roles and his lasting impact on South Asian cinema.
