Streets in Nepal turn colourful to mark 20th series of Pride parade

Kathmandu (Nepal), September 01 (ANI): People from LGBT Community paraded across Kathmandu in a pride parade celebration. It coincides with the Gai Jatra festival in which people wish eternal peace for their deceased family members. The Pride parade marched through the inner alleyways of Kathmandu and congregated at the Army Pavilion. It aims to encourage individuals to step forward and openly present themselves to society. Hundreds of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgenders, Queer and Intersex persons took part in the parade. Attendees gathered around these couples to take selfies, offer support, and convey their well-wishes for success.
