Kandy (Sri Lanka), Mar 06 (ANI): Members of the Buddhist community held a protest outside a police station in Sri Lanka’s Kandy and demanded release of Buddhists, who were arrested in connection to riot on Tuesday. However, the Sri Lankan Government has decided to impose a state of emergency for 10 days to control law and order, following the violence against the minority community in Kandy district over last two days. The decision comes after a curfew was re-imposed in two police divisions of Kandy district following the tense situation.
