Colombo (Sri Lanka), April 10 (ANI): Amid one of the worst economic crisis in the country and a national emergency in force, Sri Lankans on April 09 continued to protest against the government in Colombo. Sri Lanka is also facing a foreign exchange shortage, which has, incidentally, affected its capacity to import food and fuel. The country is facing long power cuts. “This government is corrupt. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country but this government is making it dirty. I am fighting for my children's future,” said a Protester. Protestor added. Sri Lanka's economy has been in a free fall since the COVID-19 pandemic due to the crash of the tourism sector.
