Pietermaritzburg (South Africa), June 7 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who was at Pietermaritzburg on June 06 said Satyagraha found its origin in South Africa. “Tomorrow, we will celebrate the memory of our greatest Pravasi, who came here as a young lawyer and emerged as one of the tallest leaders of all time. 125 years ago Mahatma Gandhi’s eviction from the first class compartment of the train was the catalyst to our protest; it not only transformed his only life but also shook the very foundation of colonialism. South Africa was the place where Satyagraha was born,” said Sushma Swaraj. “Let us not forget that the foundation for peace is laid through relentless search for truth. Truth & non-violence are indivisible. When we see turbulence in some parts of the world, we always find that the first casualty is always the truth,” she added.
