Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dec 01 (ANI): At least seven persons were killed and five others went missing in Sri Lanka as torrential rains accompanied by gusty winds lashed the island nation. Three fishermen from Ambalangoda and Dodanduwa were among the deceased. The adverse condition has caused destruction in various parts of Sri Lanka's Southern Province and in the central hills. The radio signal installations in Galle and Matara have been damaged due to strong winds in the region. Meanwhile, the Meteorology Department said that the deep depression in the Arabian Sea was now located at 300 km to the west of Colombo and heavy rains with strong winds can be expected further in the deep and shallow sea areas around the island.
