Moscow (Russia), June 14 (ANI/ TV BRICS): Specialists from the Russian Joint Institute for Nuclear Research have developed a mobile app to detect plant diseases. The photos are processed by computer neural networks. They can literally see pathologies in the images, all thanks to machine learning. The developers used a super computer at the nuclear research institute. The algorithms are more than 90% accurate. The key to the success of the app is a high-quality photo. It's not just the house plants that are familiar to everyone on the database. The list of pathologies -it's about 100 items -is also shaped to a large extent by users. The developers are guided by the most popular requests. The recommendations are the fruit of cooperation with professional agronomists. The app is constantly being updated, with one of the latest innovations: advice for the care of seedlings. The creators of the app plan to add tips on growing specific crops.
