Cheboksary (Russia), Aug 26, 2022, (ANI / TV BRICS): Russian engineers have developed an electric tractor. The new machine looks no different from its diesel counterparts. The difference is perceptible by ear. The machine is equipped with an impressive battery compartment. It lasts for about 8 hours of operation, after which a 6-hour recharging is mandatory. The engine is noticeably more compact than the usual, internal combustion engine. According to the developers, it requires fewer consumables. There is no need to change oil or coolant, neither do the filters. The attachments are powered by the same engine, also electric. The development of the electric tractor began in 2021. it is a joint project of specialists from several russian cities: kaluga, moscow and cheboksary. This tractor can be useful not only in the field, but also in zoos, nature preserves and nature parks.Mass production of the Russian electric tractor may start as early as this year.
