Kemerovo (Russia), Mar 28 (ANI): A number of people gathered in Russia’s Kemerovo to mourn the death of victims who lost their lives in massive fire that claimed lives of 64 people, including children. Relatives expressed their grief and anger, blaming corruption and lax fire safety rules as the underlying causes of the fire. A man, whose daughter died in the dreadful incident, described the final words he shared with his daughter on the phone while she was trapped in the building. “I told her: 'Lie down on the floor and breathe. Breathe and don't die',” he said. The major fire in Winter Cherry shopping mall originated from a playroom on the third floor of the building. Russian President Vladimir Putin flew to the scene later and assured angry residents that those responsible for what he called criminal negligence, would be harshly punished.
