Moscow (Russia), Aug 17 (ANI/ TV BRICS): Russian scientists are constantly enhancing the perovskite-based solar batteries’ efficiency. Another step towards a bright energy future has been taken by specialists from the national research technological university MISIS. They increased productivity 1.5 times and the stability of cells by 10%. The exact composition depends on the lab's knowledge of the properties of open information. One of the main advantages of perovskite elements is their cost. It is 2-3 times lower than that of silicon cells in mass production, and experts say other advantages are flexibility and lightness. All thanks to their resistance to radiation. For work on the ground, another property of perovskite batteries comes in handy: efficiency in dim light. Perovskite cells are not without disadvantages. They are still inferior to silicon cells in terms of durability and efficiency under direct sunlight. However, the researchers are sure that the issues are solvable. And perovskite batteries have huge potential.
