Moscow (Russia), July 29 (ANI/ TV BRICS): An electric motorcycle is still being developed by staff and students at Moscow Polytechnic University. The team's results are already impressive: the model called "Mig R" reached a speed of over 210 km/h. And this is on the ice of Lake Baikal. These images shown on the walls are from that illustrious race. It was operated by experienced riders. Today, the engineers have a new goal - a speed record for an electric motorbike on asphalt. That's how this machine came to be. A redesigned version of the ice machine. The engine is the same in both prototypes. Power - more than 150 horsepower. Short frame, new battery, asphalt model is about 100kg lighter than the previous one. Even the exterior parts are called - aerodynamic bodies - made of carbon fiber, lightweight and durable at the same time. The motorbike's designers warn that testing of computer control systems and other tests are forthcoming. The project from the advanced electrical transport engineering faculty at Moscow Polytechnic University is not the only one that has the potential to break records. The experience, the creators say, they will use in other developments.
