Russia backs India, says India “worthy candidates for permanent membership within (security) council”

New York (USA), Sep 25 (ANI): Backing India at the UNGA in New York, Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on September 24 said that India is a worthy candidate for permanent membership within the security council. “We see prospective of making Security Council more democratic via representation of countries from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. India and Brazil in particular are key international actors and worthy candidates for permanent membership within the council,” the Russian FM said.
