Rescue operation underway for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra pilgrims in Nepal

Simikot (Nepal), Jul 03 (ANI): Two commercial flights landed at Nepal’s Simikot on Tuesday to rescue as many as 525 pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra stranded in the area. Rescue operation is underway. Pilgrims undertaking the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in Nepal were stranded in large numbers after heavy rains caused landslides at various locations. Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is providing medical care for the stranded pilgrims and made arrangements for food and water as well. The Embassy has undertaken various measures to ensure the safety and evacuation of pilgrims on all affected routes.
