Washington DC (USA), July 11 (ANI): Amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, US State Department talked about India’s contribution, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a mediator in ending the war. US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller on July 10 said, “I would say we welcome a role that India or any other country could play in helping achieve a just and lasting peace that recognises Ukraine’s territorial integrity and recognises Ukraine’s sovereignty.”He was asked if India could break the ice and play a role to stop the war. Miller also said that the war has been a strategic failure for Russia. He said, “This war has been a strategic failure for Russia, which has seen an enormous loss of both military personnel, but – personnel, but military equipment. It’s seen its standing in the world affected. It’s seen its economy crippled by the sanctions and export controls we’ve imposed.”
