Putin announces 'military operation' to 'demilitarise' Ukraine

Moscow (Russia), Feb 24 (ANI): Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24 has announced a special "military operation" to protect Donbas, the separatist-held region in eastern Ukraine, said media reports. Delivering an emergency address, Putin said the operation has been launched to demilitarise the country. The statement came hours after the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine has not posed and will not pose a threat to Russia. Defending the statement of President Putin, Russia Representative at UN said that the operations declared by the President is to protect the people of Ukraine who have been suffering for years. Russia aim to de-genocide Ukraine. Ukraine Foreign Minister at UNSC meeting on Ukraine said, “Ukraine will defend itself and will win. This is a war of aggression. The world can and must stop Putin.” Ukraine Representative to Russian Representative at UN emergency meeting said that your President has on record declared the war and it is the responsibility of UN body to stop it as soon as possible. India at UNSC said, “We call for an immediate de-escalation. Situation is in danger of spiraling into a major crisis. If not handled carefully, it may undermine security. The security of all parties should be taken into account.
