Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Abdul Samad Yaqoob has rejected General Syed Asim Munir’s appointment as Chief of Defence Forces, calling it unconstitutional and a step toward dictatorship. He accused the military of undermining democracy, suppressing opposition, and keeping Imran Khan jailed. He said Pakistan’s worsening ties with Afghanistan and economic stagnation reflect failed policies under military dominance, warning that the country’s democratic and economic stability are now in grave danger.
