Athens (Greece), Nov 18 (ANI): The Greek Police clashed with hundreds of protestors, who marched to mark the 1973 student uprising, in Athens. The bloody 1973 student uprising helped topple the military junta which then ruled the country. Dozens of protestors hurled stones and petrol bombs at the police in central Athens, often the setting for such clashes. The hooded youth set off fireworks and flares against police officers who responded with teargas and stun grenades. The annual march is held to convey displeasure with various government policies, and often turns violent.
