Lahore (Pakistan), Sep 16 (ANI): Protest broke out in Lahore against the illegal arrest of Gilgit-Baltistan activists, Asif Naji and Shabbir Mayar, on September 15. The protest saw hundreds of protestors taking to streets in wake of the illegal arrests of activists. They shouted anti-Pakistan slogans demanding their immediate release. The activists were arrested by law enforcement agencies under draconian Schedule IV of Anti Terrorism Act (ATA). The Act has repeatedly been misused to implicate the common citizens and stifle the occupied territory of Gilgit-Baltistan. The activists had become the prominent voices of the region who would lead movements of resistance against Islamabad oppression.
