Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits historic 11th century Al-Hakim Mosque in Cairo, Egypt

Cairo (Egypt), June 25 (ANI): PM Modi visited the 11th century Al-Hakim Mosque on June 25 during his maiden visit to Egypt. The historic mosque in Cairo is named after Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah. The mosque is an important cultural site for the Dawoodi Bohra community. He will also visit Heliopolis War Grave cemetery to pay tribute to Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I. Later in the day, PM Modi is scheduled to meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Upon his arrival, PM Modi was received by his Egyptian counterpart PM Mostafa Madbouly and also inspected a guard of honour. Notably, PM Modi is on a two-day state visit to Egypt starting from June 24.
