Prez Kovind shares history of India and Cyprus close relations in Nicosia

Nicosia (Cyprus), Sep 02 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday shared the history on the relation shared between India and Cyprus at Ball room for Indian community reception program. The President said, “Post Independence both the countries extended support to each other. Both the countries share similar culture. We have named a road after Archbishop Makarios in New Delhi and Cyprus government erected a statue of Mahatma Gandhi next to their Parliament House of Representatives in Nicosia.” The President is on a eight-day three-nation tour to Cyprus, Bulgaria and Czech Republic.
