PM Modi’s Philippines visit significant for India’s ‘Act East Policy’: Indian Ambassador Mazumdar

Manila (Philippines), Nov 12 (ANI): Indian Ambassador to Philippines, Jaideep Mazumdar, on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit holds significance as present government focuses on ‘Act East Policy’. He added that the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) plays ‘central role’ in India’s ‘Act East Policy’. Mazumdar, who was briefing upon PM Modi’s three-day-long visit, added that several declarations will be signed during the former’s visit. PM Modi, who departed for Philippines today morning, will hold bilateral meetings with several leaders.
