Washington DC (USA), Sep 24 (ANI): India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on September 24 (IST) said that during bilateral talks in Washington DC, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Japanese Counterpart Yoshihide Suga for successfully hosting Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics amid pandemic. “PM Narendra Modi specifically thanks PM Yoshihide Suga for successfully hosting Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics in midst of global pandemic. Two PMs exchanged views on recent developments including Afghanistan,” said Foreign Secretary. “PM Narendra Modi and PM Suga reaffirmed their commitment towards a free and open inclusive Indo-Pacific region. They agreed to enhance bilateral security and defence cooperation including the areas of defence equipment and technologies,” he added.
