PM Modi invited French President to visit India at the earliest possible opportunity: MEA

Paris (France), May 05 (ANI): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his brief visit to Paris during which he met French President Emmanuel Macron on May 04, Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that President Macron was invited by PM Modi to visit India at the earliest possible opportunity. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited French President Emmanuel Macron to visit India at the earliest possible opportunity. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar also met his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian during this visit,” said Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra. The Ukraine crisis was also in discussions during the visit. “On Ukraine, there was a broad understanding of each other's positions. The two leaders agreed that close coordination and engagement was important so that both India and France can play a constructive role in the evolving situation,” said FS Kwatra.
