Germany, Apr 11 (ANI): Hundreds of flights were cancelled at four German airports, including the biggest hub Frankfurt, on April 10 as ground staff and other public sector workers staged walkouts across the country to increase the pressure in a pay dispute. Lufthansa cancelled more than 800 flights out of its 1,600 planned for April 10. The strike also affected nurseries, rubbish collection and swimming pools. The leading union is demanding a 6% pay rise for 2.3 million public sector employees. But the federal government has rejected that call saying a big increase would force them to outsource jobs.
