Washington (US) Aug 26 (ANI): US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a press conference on August 26 said that over 82,000 people have been safely evacuated from Afghanistan. "Over 82,000 people have been safely evacuated from Afghanistan since Aug 14. About 46% have been women and children. We have been intensely focused on making sure that we could get the woman out of it. 6,000 American citizens identified in Afghanistan, at least 4,500 of them and their families have been evacuated. We are relentlessly focused on getting the locally employed staff out of Afghanistan,” said Secretary Blinken.
