"Our weapon is our spirit..." volunteers step up in Israel to help victims

Sderot (Israel), Oct 12 (ANI): As the war continues between Israel and Hamas, Israeli volunteers set up relief camps in Sderot to help the soldiers and civilians. Volunteers provide aid by distributing food and other goods to soldiers and civilians in relief camps. Israeli national volunteer, Avihu Cohen said, “We are civilians we are not defence forces, our weapon is our spirit...We deliver the food to the people to support them physically and mentally...It's war and people cannot even understand what’s going on here. It is unheard of this kind of situation...” Israeli national volunteer, Aria Levy says, “We arrived here on Saturday and we helped to save life...What we want to do is save lives. We have a very bad situation, soldiers and citizens need first aid. We are doing what we can do. The mission is to help citizens who are at home. There are a lot of sick and old people who need milk, bread and medicines..." Israeli national volunteer, Malka says, “We are here because there is no one in the town and they need help. There are a lot of families that stay in this town and we are from a French organisation SSF (Santé Sans Frontières), we work around the world...We have a lot of food for the people and we are distributing it to the people who are in need. We are providing them with medication as well and we are trying to do everything possible. We have got stuff for babies and women. There is a lot of requirement of water..."
