Newborn elephant in Belgian zoo counts Monaco princess as godmother

Brugelette (Belgium), Oct 27 (ANI): Princess Stephanie, sister of Prince Albert II of Monaco, has been named the honorary godmother of an Asian elephant born in Belgium's Pairi Daiza zoo. The elephant named Ta Wan, is the latest addition to the zoo.Princess Stephanie is known for her love for elephants and she adopted two female elephants in 2013. She did so to save them from being put down. Ta Wan is the first male elephant born in the zoo and he is a part of a herd of 18 elephants.
