New Delhi, Dec 27 (ANI): Researchers at University Of Wisconsin-Madison, have developed a revolutionary e-bandage that can speed up the healing process of a wound by sending electrical stimulation. The bandage uses energy from the person’s body and converts it into softer electrical impulses at the wound, which in turn fastens the healing process of a wound. Various tests on rodents concluded that the bandage reduced the healing time to a surprising 3 days as compared to 12 days by an ordinary bandage. The researchers have also planned on testing Pig skin as it resembles human tissue. The modern bandage is set to help people who suffer from chronic wounds such as Diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers and non healing surgical wounds.
