Nepali Congress youth leader, 10 others injured in bomb blast

Kathmandu (Nepal), Dec 4 (ANI): As many as 11 people, including Nepali Congress youth leader Gagan Thapa were injured in an explosion targeting his election rally at Chapali area of capital Kathmandu. All the injured have been receiving treatment at the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital. Thapa who has sustained injuries in his shoulder is said to be in normal condition now, after receiving treatment. Two persons were critically injured in the blast. They have been identified as Shyam Krishna Shrestha and Ram Kaji Shrestha. Security remains tight across Nepal as the country gears up to vote on December 7 for the second and last phase of its historic parliamentary and provincial election.
